Fence Wash

A gentle soft wash to lift the grey, algae and grime — then a protective sealant so your fence keeps its colour and the wood resists rot for years longer.

How we do it
1

Gentle soft wash
High pressure splinters wood and carves lines into the grain. We use low pressure and cleaning solutions instead, lifting years of dirt, algae, mildew and weathered grey out of the boards without damaging them.

2

Full dry-out
Sealant only bonds to dry wood, so the fence is left to dry properly before the second half of the job. Rushing this step is why so many sealed fences peel within a season.

3

Protective sealant
We seal the wood so it sheds water instead of drinking it. That is what keeps the colour rich, slows the greying, and holds off the rot that turns fence boards soft and crumbly from the inside.

Why it’s better

Soft wash, never a high-pressure blast — no splintering, no grain damage, no stripe marks

Lifts algae, mildew, dirt and years of weathered grey out of the wood

A protective sealant finishes every fence wash — the wash makes it look new, the sealant keeps it that way

Sealed wood sheds water instead of soaking it up, so boards resist rot far longer

Pairs perfectly with a whole-home soft wash or a driveway wash — one visit, whole property refreshed

Questions people ask

Straight answers, Houston-specific

How much does it cost to have a wood fence washed and sealed?

It depends on the length and whether we do one side or both, so put your address into our quote page for an exact number. The sealant is the part worth paying for — a washed fence with no seal greys out again within a season in Houston sun and rain.

Will washing my fence make the wood fuzzy or splinter?

Not with a soft wash. High pressure raises the grain and shreds cedar; we use a low-pressure cleaning solution to lift the grey oxidation and mildew, rinse, let it dry, then seal. The wood comes back to its colour without the fuzz.

How long does the fence sealant last?

Typically two to three years on a Houston fence, depending on sun exposure. The seal repels water, slows UV greying and keeps mildew from taking hold, so the next wash is lighter and the boards last longer.
